Description: asNews is currently able to fetch the news from Freshmeat, LinuxToday, Slashdot, Segfault, KDE, LinuxApps, BBC, CentralEurope, 7AM, GeekNews, Linuxdev, IceWalkers, AppWatch, Hotwired and Mozilla. Support for additional sites is being worked on.
asNews also has two GTK-based X11 interfaces: a very simple one used for easy integration with your Window Manager and a complete, comfortable GUI. Using the sooner, asNews gets easily integrated with WindowMaker, AfterStep, and fvwm.
asNews can also work as a daemon, retrieving and organizing in the background.
