A simple calendar menu which displays a calendar month and allows you to click on a day to fill in a form. PHP has some great date function capabilities such as built in support for textual Months and Days. Plus it can even display the appropiate suffix on a day. ('st', 'nd' 'rd', 'th' in 1st, 2nd, 3rd 4th). View the source code and the PHP documentation to see how these functions are used. The concept behind generating the month is straightforward. Grab today's date, from that get the month and year and create a new date of the first of the month. From this date you can figure out which day of the week it falls on.

EXTcalendar is a very huge calendar script, written in PHP and uses MySQL as a backend to store data. You can choose between Dutch, English, French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Arabic or Korean for language. Further on, you can browse by day, month, category and month. Also there is a very extended admin where you can add yourself events, categorys, approve events given in by other people on the 'live' site ... This is a GPL'd PHP3/MySQL based calendar program. It features: displays a monthly calendar with a link to each date, display events for specified dates, easy navigation buttons, and add/delete/modify daily events. This is actually be more valuable as a 'template' rather than a complete application in itself. You can download it and modify it easily because it's quite uncomplicated, and I'd hate to spoil that with feature bloat.
